The HAY HUT
The most innovative HAY SAVING product of 2010 !

How many can eat out of each Hay Hut ?

Interesting question I asked myself when I was first ordering my Hay Huts.
I counted the number of openings and decided that was how many horses one unit could feed.
Sheesh...was I ever WRONG !

There are THREE Hay Huts in this pasture with 15 horses.
They choose to all eat out of one.   Then quit eating.  Then go back.
They finished ONE bale ...to the ground....and then went to the next unit.   Must be a herd thing.
I used to get two days out of a round bale....now I get three days.
So now instead of having to put out hay every six days....it's now every NINE days.
Yipee on labor saving !
Clearly on the left you see one mare eating the little bit they dropped on the ground.
And one very contented and very pregnant mare off to the right.  :)

See them all eating from the ONE unit in back although there are THREE Hay Huts in their pasture.

All together.....

And she cleans up what her buddy dropped.

" Me too, Mom"

So...you can feed more horses than there are openings.  :)
